Sheraton Park Lane Hotel, London

IIR's Telecoms Business Customer Summit is the only event focusing exclusively on how operators can develop more effective strategies to address the needs and expectations of their business customers. The 2010 Summit will introduce new features and highlights which promise even more added value for you:

Interactive Discussion Sessions - to maximise your networking and learning experience, the event will feature extended afternoon discussion sessions on key topics, including issues and questions that are raised during the morning presentations. This will allow you to play an active role in shaping the content of the discussion sessions.

End-User Perspective - hear about the needs of business customers from the business customers themselves! The Forum will feature presentations from large corporations and SMEs/SoHos from different industries outlining their ICT needs and expectations and how effectively operators are addressing them.

Extended Topic Range - in addition to highlighting services and products being developed for business customers, the Summit will address how to enhance the customer experience, embrace new business models, move into the provision of ICT and other non-telecoms services and respond to the impact that the current economic downturn is having on business customers.

Idea Bubble - Share your ideas and thoughts with fellow delegates by writing or pinning them on the ideas wall that will be set up in the refreshment area. At the end of the Summit, all ideas will be collected and you will be able to download the list of ideas from the website.

Heroes of the Mobile Screen

London

A new event looking to make the world of mobile a better place

The team behind Mobile Monday London, Swedish Beers Mobile Networking, Future of Mobile, Over The Air, Mobile 2.0 and Tech Media Invest, today announced the launch of a brand new event coming to London on 7 December, Heroes of theMobile Screen http://mobileheroes.net/

The day-long event at BFI Southbank will differ from anything else around and get the stakeholders of mobile involved in discussing the issues affecting them and their customers. Uniquely the event also has secondary school pupils, college students and other members of the same generation, to tell the industry what they want from their mobile, what they expect from their network operators and what's most important to them in terms of their mobile life.

Heroes of the Mobile Screen is already attracting a number of high caliber ‘heroes' with speakers and panelists answering the call from around the world, to unite in London on December 7. Current confirmed speakers include Kei Shimada (Infinita.tv), JP Rangaswami (Chief Scientist BT Innovate and Design) Kevin Marks (VP of Web Services BT) , Doug Richard (Former BBC Dragon and founder of School for Starups), Julia Shalet (Digital Youth Project), Belinda Parmer (founder of Lady Geek) Paul Berney (MD Europe Mobile Marketing Association) and more. You can keep up to date with a full list of confirmed speakers here <http://www.mobileheroes.net/Speakers>  (http://www.mobileheroes.net/Speakers).

The agenda for the day can be found here <http://www.mobileheroes.net/Programme>  (http://www.mobileheroes.net/Programme) but Heroes of the Mobile Screen has four core pillars supporting discussion.

The money
What's making money, who's making money and what's being invested in and where the money's going to be in the future? The answers to all the questions we want to ask of successful mobile service providers and VCs.

The impact of social/location
What is the impact of social media and location technology? What do customers want, what are the business models, what are the solutions to privacy issues. Carriers are placing their bets in this area, but will they pay off?

Teenage heroes
Led by digital youth marketing expert Julia Shalet, this is a new format where we invite four companies to pitch their product, service or device live to six teenagers and they tell us what they really think.

Real customers, real applications, real marketing
A double session with the first half covering customers and what they really want on mobile with a focus on women in particular with a keynote from an expert in this area sharing some new research and insight into what women want. The second half will cover mobile marketing and advertising, what's working, what's not and what's coming next.

Helen Keegan, co-founder of Heroes of the Mobile Screen said: "We came up with idea around the event because we realised that most of the events we attend throughout the year all talk around the same subjects, with the same people and bring up the same issues, without resolution. It's time for us to stop talking to ourselves, look out beyond our industry and make some changes for the better."

Helen continued: "What we wanted to do with Heroes of the Mobile Screen was to talk about exactly who is making money in mobile, why and where the smart money's going for the future. We also wanted to bring in the real people who are going to be using mobile applications and services, to find out what they want, rather than the industry trying to tell them what they think they should want".

Tickets are available online now for £99 (ex VAT and booking fee).
