Critical Path for mass email

Critical Path, a  provider of messaging software and services, and Adamind , a supplier of media adaptation software in the mobile messaging and content markets, today announced the integration of Adamind MediaSpir with Critical Path's Memova Mobile consumer mobile email solution, to enable the exchange of multimedia email messages between mobile phones and PCs.

Mobile operators looking for ways to increase revenue and drive more usage of MMS have targeted the provision of an easier way to send and receive email messages their mobile phones -- including emails with picture, audio and video attachments. Adamind's media content adaptation technology transcodes AMR and 3GPP file formats generated by a mobile handset to WAV, MP3 and AVI files, enabling Memova Mobile users to send and receive multimedia emails using standard mobile phones.

Unlike enterprise-focused wireless email solutions designed for smartphones, Memova Mobile works with MMS-enabled mobile phones many consumers are already using.
