3GSM World Congress embraces and encourages innovation
Small and start up companies given the chance to shine
For the third year running 3GSM World Congress is hosting the Mobile Innovation Forum, which provides an invaluable opportunity for small and start up companies to meet with major decision makers and investors in the mobile industry. From 150 global entries, just 15 finalists have been short listed by a judging panel comprising global operators and VCs with an opportunity of a lifetime to show their wares and develop their business during the Congress.
Designed to unite innovators in small and start-up companies with top industry investors, mobile operators and vendors, Mobile Innovation Forum invites fifteen privileged companies to each present their new product or service to the panel of judges followed by a Q&A session to allow the judges to evaluate the innovation in more detail. The three finalists will present their ideas again in the ‘Identifying & Encouraging Innovation in the Mobile Industry’ session on Tuesday 14th January and the one lucky winner will be announced at the GSM Association Awards Gala Dinner the same evening.
“No-one doubts the wealth of talent that exists in the mobile communications industry, but it’s a complex market with many players. Breakthrough technology has to fight hard to be heard,” said Craig Ehrlich, Chairman of the GSM Association. “The Mobile Innovation Award provides innovators with the best international stage on which to make themselves heard, and access to those individuals and organisations who can help them move forward.”
The importance of the Mobile Innovation Forum is reflected in the growing number of global entries and this year it will form a key stage in the Mobile Innovation Award, an exclusive and influential addition to the GSM Association’s Award categories.
