RantNetwork to launch image translator for European and Asian mobile markets

RantNetwork, a provider of translatable mobile messaging applications, is to launch its Mobile Image Translation application with embedded text translation beginning in late November with three major carriers.

RantNetwork is claimed to be the first mobile VAS to introduce this dynamic global application (patent pending) to mobile carriers in Europe and Asia. The 'Communilator' gives mobile customers the ability to take a picture of a document, newspaper heading, sign or any picture with text and translate into 16 currently available languages. The addition of bi-directional Hindi/English is anticipated in late December.

Mobile customers will also have the ability to manually translate via their handset with its translation application.

RantNetworks' 'Communilator' is said to be an easily downloadable self contained and interoperable application which resides directly on the desktop of handsets.
