Vodafone Italia expands WiFi footprint through roaming agreement with Trustive
Vodafone Italia customers can now easily access hotspots worldwide all under the Vodafone brand
Trustive, Europe's leading wireless hotspot access provider, today announced that it has signed a bi-lateral roaming agreement with Vodafone Italia, the second largest mobile phone operator in Italy.
The agreement will allow Vodafone Italia's customers to access Trustive's global network. Similarly, Trustive customers can now use Vodafone Italia's network of hotspots located in major five-star hotels and airports across Italy. The Trustive network currently covers over 20,000 hotspots worldwide, including all major EU airports.
In addition to extending hotspot access for its customers, the key requirement for Vodafone Italia was to provide a branded customer experience for all its customers using the Trustive network. This means that customers can now access the network, wherever they are in the world via a fully-branded Vodafone landing page.
The agreement further extends Trustive's relationship with the Vodafone Group, following a similar hotspot roaming deal it recently signed with SFR, France's second largest mobile operator.
Gavin Dresselhuis, co-founder and managing director of Trustive, said: "This agreement extends our global footprint and further strengthens our wholesale position within the WiFi market, with another Vodafone Group member becoming a Trustive customer."
