T-Mobile selects RAD's HSDPA transport solution

Project to begin in Germany and will extend to other European countries

RAD Data Communications has announced that mobile communications carrier T-Mobile International has selected RAD as a partner for its 3G and HSDPA backhaul network.

RAD's solution supports T-Mobile's expansion of HSDPA mobile data services and offers the flexibility to transport them over a variety of next-generation backhaul infrastructure, such as DSL and Metro Ethernet. This diversity enables T-Mobile to maximize its mobile broadband coverage, giving it a ubiquitous presence in the markets it serves. The introduction of IP transport also readies T-Mobile for eventual migration to an all-IP radio access network. Construction of T-Mobile's HSDPA backhaul network will begin in Germany and will then be extended into other European countries.
