Opera Mini powers new TMN mobile Internet service

Web browser available pre-installed on select handsets

Opera Software, a specialist in delivering dynamic Web experiences, has announced that TMN, Portugal's leading mobile operator, has selected Opera Mini as the default Web browser for the company's mobile Internet service. Opera Mini offers the richest and most engaging mobile Web experience for TMN's more than 5.7 million customers, allowing them to access the real Internet - use their favorite sites, check their email and bank - wherever they are.

"Our customers now have access to the full range of favorite Web content on their mobiles," said José Baldino, Member of the Board, TMN. "TMN has a long legacy of offering our users innovative new services. By selecting Opera Mini, we have created a truly compelling offering that gives our customers a unique and high-value Web experience."

The Opera-powered mobile Internet solution will be available as a free download for all TMN customers. Additionally, Opera Mini will be delivered pre-installed on several high-volume handsets.

"With internetnotelemóvel, TMN has given their customers Web access from any TMN device," said Jon S. von Tetzchner, CEO, Opera. "Whether they purchase one of the handsets where Opera Mini comes pre-installed or they choose to download it from TMN's site, we're certain TMN's customers will be impressed with the breadth and capability of internetnotelemóvel and will immediately enjoy the convenience of having Web access from any location."
