BBC Worldwide appoints Peter Mercier as Head of Mobile
Ex-MobiTV Director joins BBC Wordwide Digital Media Division to lead mobile push
BBC Worldwide has announced that it has appointed Peter Mercier as Head of Mobile in its Digital Media Division. Mercier, who was previously Director of Business Development for MobiTV (Europe), will lead BBC Worldwide’s continued push into the mobile space, working with content brands such as Little Britain, Doctor Who and Top Gear.
With agreements in place with UK operators such as Orange and 3 and with international partners as far afield as New Zealand and Korea, BBC Worldwide has already developed an impressive mobile business stream. Mercier joins the company to further develop this area of the business by developing and managing key mobile accounts and closing international content licensing deals. Based in London, Peter will report to Simon Danker, Director of Digital Media.
