Mobestar delivers mDate to Gaydar

Mobestar, a specialist provider of mobile community applications has announced the implementation of its mobile social networking application to Qsoft Consulting, owners of the dating brand Gaydar. Powered by Mobestar, GaydarMobile is an addition to the dating site that will allow 1.1 million users in the UK and 4 million users world-wide access to profiles, messages and contact members with text, picture and video messaging using just their mobile phone.

Trevor Martin, QSoft's Sales and Marketing Director, said : "GaydarMobile is an exiting part of our plans and we will be able to offer our community members services via the fourth screen (mobile phone). We will be the first major dating brand to offer a fully functional and synchronised capability on mobile handsets as an additional service to our global community".

Peter Richards, Mobestar's CEO said "We are absolutely delighted to be QSoft's mobile partner. The Gaydar brand is known throughout the world and we could not have hoped for a better customer to launch the service with".

QSoft is Europe's leading gay media owner and has launched a new mobile dating service, Gaydar Mobile, via Gaydar, its portfolio of online dating and lifestyle portals.

QSoft's stable of products includes gaydar.co.uk (and associated URLs), GaydarRadio, gaydargirls.com, gaydartravel.com and GaydarNation. In the UK, the Gaydar brands are said to account for more than 72 per cent of gay and lesbian traffic on the internet. GaydarRadio has more than two million listeners a month.
