Accuris Networks and HelloSoft announce mobile VoIP partnership
Accuris Networks, a specialist in fixed-mobile convergence and telecoms software, has announced that it has entered into a partnership agreement with HelloSoft, the provider of VoIP technologies for wireline and wireless devices. The agreement enables Accuris Networks to support the use of consumer and enterprise smartphone handsets on its AccuROAM FMC platform.
Accuris Networks' approach to Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) - GSM to WiFi roaming is based on proven roaming principles. AccuROAM preserves the user identity and experience including voice, data, SMS and all supplementary services, while roaming seamlessly between GSM and WiFi.
Commenting on the partnership, Aidan Dillon CEO of Accuris Networks stated: "I believe 2008 to be a defining year for Mobile Operators as it marks the much-anticipated arrival of dual mode Cellular / WiFi handsets.
