Giesecke & Devrient gets certification for STARSIM product line

Giesecke & Devrient and Celltick, a provider of idle screen mobile marketing solutions, have joined forces to provide services on 'cost-efficient and versatile platforms'. A first result of the cooperation is the recently obtained certification of the range of STARSIM native cards from G&D for the new version of Celltick LiveScreen Media application.

G&D and Celltick fulfill the requirements of JavaCard SIM cards, as both companies have experience in the technology. Celltick, with the development of interoperable applications that can be installed in any JavaCard compliant SIM card, and on the other side G&D, with its UniverSIM and SkySIM families, will provide new services making use of the technology.

Both companies will develop new services that allow MNOs to offer applications to their customers, employing well established and readily available bearer technologies such as Cell Broadcast or SMS.
