Ericsson and 3 Italia sign exclusive network transformation deal and extend managed services agreement

Ericsson has today announced an exclusive contract with 3 Italia that includes a seven-year agreement to modernize and upgrade the existing WCDMA/HSPA network with Ericsson technologies and architectures. It also includes an extension of the current managed services deal.

3 Italia selects Alcatel-Lucent to expand and optimize DVB-H mobile TV network

Alcatel-Lucent has signed a turnkey equipment and services contract with 3 Italia, a 3G mobile operator in Italy and the first DVB-H mobile TV operator in the world, to expand and optimize its broadcast mobile TV network throughout Italy.
