    nPerf’s annual Barometer of fixed connections in Switzerland for 2019, found Salt offered the best download and upload speed for the second year in a row.

    It found the average upload bit rate in Switzerland was 55 Mbps across all technologies; Salt’s average upload speed according to nPerf was about ten times higher (512.21 Mbps).

    Download speeds

    While average download speed in Switzerland was 98Mbps; Salt’s was five times higher (517.66Mbps).

    The average latency score was of 24ms in Switzerland, while Salt’s fibre product score was 12.25ms.

    Best value for money?

    Starting at CHF 39.95 per month for Salt Mobile clients, Salt says its triple play offer is the fastest and best value for money on the Swiss market.

    Customers receive an Apple TV 4K as unique set top box with access to over 400 channels on Salt TV, plus a 10Gps internet connection and a fixed telephony offer that includes  unlimited calls to mobile and fixed networks in Switzerland.

    No resting on laurels

    Pascal Grieder, CEO at Salt commented about the test results,“We are proud we were able to improve our upload and download scores significantly year on year. Connected homes and multi-usage require more and more bandwidth and, in this context, only FTTH technology is future proof.
