The name’s Cornell, Keith Cornell
Empower Interactive today announces the appointment of Keith Cornell as its new Chief Executive Office. Keith will lead Empower Interactive as it expands its geographic reach in growing Asian, European and Americas markets and continues to provide next generation, carrier-grade messaging capabilities to leading mobile operators, such as FT/Orange group, WIND, Telkomsel, and Smart.
Keith Cornell is a global wireless industry veteran who brings over twenty-three years’ experience in strategy, business development and operations to Empower Interactive. He was formerly on the management board of O2 with responsibility for operations in Germany, Ireland, Isle of Man, and The Netherlands. He has served in senior management roles at FirstMark Communications, Vodafone, Airtouch International and Marakon Associates.

For the past two and a half years Keith has also served as an Independent Director in a number of telecoms and technology companies. These include positions as Chairman and Co-CEO, Oplayo (Finland), Non-Executive Chairman, End2End Mobile (Denmark), and Non-Executive Chairman, Digital Rum (UK).
Keith Cornell received a BS in Engineering and Economics from Harvey Mudd College, Claremont, California and an MS in Industrial Administration (MBA) from the Graduate School of Industrial Administration at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He lives with his wife and 2 daughters outside London.
