Consilient, a member of the Oracle® PartnerNetwork, today announced at Oracle OpenWorld the launch of push email clients for Oracle® Collaboration Suite 10g for the Nokia 9500 Communicator and the Nokia 9300 enterprise smartphone. The push email client was developed by Consilient and is the first to use the P-IMAP open standard for real-time connectivity between Oracle Collaboration Suite 10g and Nokia mobile devices.
Organizations using Oracle Collaboration Suite 10g will soon be able to purchase the Consilient4 client for Nokia phones from Consilient at www.consilient.com/shop. Both the Nokia 9300 and the Nokia 9500 Communicator are currently available worldwide.
“The client we built for the Nokia phones uses the open P-IMAP standard, a standard that we are implementing in the development of our server, scheduled for release later this year,” said Trevor Adey, Consilient CEO. “Working with Oracle and Nokia, we are committed to building products using open standards. Soon we will extend our P-IMAP support to Nokia’s Series 60 platform, offering push email on more devices from Nokia and other leading manufacturers,” Adey added.
