Operator is adding the band to its 5G Plus 3.x GHz band services for wider geographic coverage, especially in rural or hard-to-reach areas
T-Mobile Poland has become the first mobile operator to add the 700 MHz band to its 5G network, launching its “5G Bardziej” (5G Plus) signal on the new 700 MHz coverage band. In the coming months, 5G Bardziej will continue to reach more locations. The rollout of the network using this coverage frequency means improved service quality not just for residents of large cities, but especially for smaller towns and suburban areas.
The 5G Bardziej signal on the 700 MHz band has been launched at 22 base stations with more to come in the months ahead. The continuous development of the network translates directly into better service quality for its customers, according to the operator. T-Mobile said it was the first operator in Poland to surpass 4,000 base stations offering 5G Bardziej services. This week the operators is also announcing that its 5G signal on the C-band now covers over 50% of the country’s population.
Now, it says more towns and villages can enjoy access to top-quality internet – residents of Bronisławów on Lake Sulejów and Płochocin near Ożarów Mazowiecki saw the 5G icon appear on their phones for the first time.
T-Mobile also auctioned an additional 2×5 MHz block in the 800 MHz band, which will be added to the 2×10 MHz already in use, thereby increasing the capacity of its LTE network, according to Telko.in. Orange does seem to be planning some 700 MHz LTE deployment, likely for indoor coverage enhancement.
“5G Bardziej” isn’t a separate technology from standard 5G but a branded way of communicating improved 5G performance and coverage. It generally includes: the use of mid-band spectrum (3.x GHz / C-band): for faster speeds and low latency; and the use of low-band 700 MHz spectrum: for wider geographic coverage, especially in rural or hard-to-reach areas.
The Polish telecommunications regulator UKE completed the 3.5 GHz spectrum auction, followed by 700 MHz auction in March 2025, issuing licenses to Orange, Play, T-Mobile and Plus. T-Mobile has now become the first to commercially deploy 5G services using this spectrum, with new transmitters already active in locations like Bronisławów and Płochocin.
700 MHz 5G uses Band n28 (5G NR) rather than the older LTE Band 28 but major handsets should be fine working in this band.
Earlier this month, T-Mobile Poland launched a new all-in-one mobile plan offering unlimited voice, SMS, MMS, and data with no speed or data caps for PLN 75 (€17.70) per month. The operator is positioning itself as the simplicity-focused brand in response to consumer frustration with complex mobile tariffs. The plan also allows optional add-ons like EU roaming, home fibre (300 Mbps free, 900 Mbps for PLN 20), and TV (PLN 50), with additional mobile lines at PLN 55.
