As the Director of STL Partners' research team, she challenges and supports telecom companies to break out of traditional operating models and become more customer-centric and technology-savvy. She has over 12 years’ experience in telecom strategy, including as Head of ICT Research at Fitch Solutions prior to joining STL Partners. Amy speaks fluent French and ice-breaking Mandarin and holds an MSc in Chinese Politics from the School of Oriental and Africa Studies.

Fran Heeran is Vice President and Head of Red Hat’s Global Telecoms business with over 30 years’ experience in the software industry, with the past 25 years in the telecom sector. Prior to Red Hat, Fran led the Core Networks business at Nokia with responsibility for the company’s end-to-end 5G core offerings as well as Nokia’s cloud Infrastructure portfolio. He was Group Head of Cloud & Automation at Vodafone Group from 2017 to 2019 where he led the team defining the strategy and architecture for Vodafone’s Network and IT cloud transformation programme. During this time Fran represented Vodafone on the Board of Linux Foundation Networking. He also held senior executive roles at Alcatel-Lucent and NEC.
