Accedian launches Vision Service Performance to simplify Carrier Ethernet service activation

    -

Accedian Networks has announced a new way to accelerate Ethernet service turn-up with the availability of Vision SP (Service Performance).

As network operators try to keep track of their ever-growing Carrier Ethernet demands, they need to increase their footprint to reach new customers, open new markets, and generate new revenue streams. The management of these increasingly complex networks, the speed of solution turn-up and time to revenue has also become a critical component for network operators to maximize shareholder value.

Vision SP accelerates service turn-up by simplifying ITU-T Y.1564 testing and enables network operators to configure tests that encompass multiple test flows that can be run simultaneously, thereby drastically reducing the time required for validating new services and reducing turn-up costs. Vision SP is fully integrated with its Vision EMS™ tool set – a centralized management platform for Accedian Networks’ MetroNID and MetroNODE10GE performance assurance solutions.

“Assuring the ability of the cell site to simultaneously source high performance traffic from multiple IP locations is a unique key feature of Vision SP; a feature that network operators covet in a complete EMS solution,” said Patrick Ostiguy, President & CEO of Accedian Networks. “Being able to fully validate new services from a single end-point with an easy to use tool that provides centralization, archival of birth certificates and time saving test configuration are just a few of the features that make this solution appealing to network operators. We work closely with our global network operator customers and partners to develop solutions that make performance assurance as seamless as possible. We are pleased to expand our Vision EMS solution and to deliver this innovative module to the market.”

With its point-and-click operation and its ability to coordinate multiple concurrent turn-up tests, Vision SP can simultaneously validate up to 20 different cell site locations with up to 8 different one-way or two-way flows per location; thus supporting point-to-point and point-to-multipoint configurations. This flexibility is ideal for validating multiple remote cell site homing applications.

Some of Vision SP’s key features include:
    • Full support of ITU-T Y.1564 flows thereby delivering a true centralized Y.1564 validation hub
    • EMIX support
    • Automatic configuration of reverse flows
    • Ability to configure thousands of tests per Vision EMS
    • Centralised execution and reporting
