Orange Moldova selects Astellia to provide analytics for its 4G network

    -

Orange’s Moldovan subsidiary has signed a deal with network and subscriber intelligence provider Astellia to help enhance its existing 4G LTE network in Moldova.

Orange Moldova is considered to be a “pioneer” in 4G within the Orange Group — it became the first operator in the world to launch HD voice back in 2009  and already provides LTE network coverage to over one million customers.
Astellia is to provide the operator with customer and network analytics as well as KPI trend analysis capabilities, enabling the operator to understand interactions between 4G mobile devices, data services and network elements.

Using the data provided from Astellia¹s solution, the operator¹s optimisation teams will be able proactively address issues and perform fast QoE troubleshooting to drive a better subscriber experience, the vendor said.

Further, end-to-end KPIs are used to help operators manage the challenges of circuit-switched fallback, ensuring a seamless handover of voice.

“Moldova is amongst the countries having the most advanced telecommunications services in the world,” said Dumitru RUSSU, Network Performance Team Leader at Orange Moldova.

“Working with Astellia enables us to deliver our subscribers unsurpassed 4G performance, best in class services and enhanced customer experience.”

Astellia is currently working with over 200 operators worldwide on analysing interactions between 4G mobiles, data services and networks.
