Faroese Telecom adds call completion and data service abilities


Chooses Comverse's Total Communication(TM) Environment

Comverse, a unit of Comverse Technology, and the world's leading supplier of software and systems enabling network-based multimedia enhanced communication services, today announced that it will supply solutions from its Total Communication environment to Faroese Telecom.

The solutions include enhancement of the carrier's Prepaid Billing system, Multimedia Messaging Service Center (MMSC), Mobile Data Gateway (MDG), Real Time Data Billing (RTDB) and ImPact(TM) Call Completion and Call Management solutions, including Who Called(TM) missed call notification service.

The Comverse Total Communication environment includes a wide range of network-based value-added services, which enable operators to provide subscribers with a rich service, offering a simple user experience, regardless of network type (wireline; wireless: 2G, 2.5G, 3G) or payment plan (prepaid, post-paid).
