Sparkle expands North Africa reach with Casablanca PoP

    -

TIM’s international services arm, Sparkle, has opened a new Point of Presence (PoP) in Casablanca (pictured), Morocco.

Located at the Orange Maroc open data centre, Sparkle’s PoP will provide corporate communication services to multinational enterprises aiming to expand their business in Morocco.

Sparkle said Morocco’s political stability and economic growth is attracting investments, particularly from Italian and European multinationals that are increasingly establishing offices and industrial sites in the country.

Further, Morocco has strong and consolidated trade relations with several countries in West Africa, thus positioning itself as a commercial hub from Europe to the Sub Saharan African region.

    Moroccan connection

With this new opening, Sparkle will offer Ethernet and virtual private IP-VPN networks to Italian and European multinationals to connect their headquarters with their branches in Morocco, enabling intracompany communication.

It will also provide Carrier Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), which extends connectivity services to other operators, and its Cloud Connect service, which offers private and secure connection to global cloud environments.

A statement from Sparkle said, “The PoP in Casablanca completes Sparkle’s presence in North Africa, stretching from Egypt to Morocco, and confirms its role as a reference partner for telcos, service providers and multinational companies seeking to extend their business in the Mediterranean.”
