The operator will deploy the MATRIXX Digital Commerce Platform for 4G, 5G and fixed consumer and enterprise services.
Telefónica Germany/O2 has opted for MATTRIXX as its “monetization partner” as part of its new, leaner IT architecture, built around “web-scale technologies and solutions”.
MATRIXX was architected with open APIs so that it can integrate into 4G, 5G and fixed network elements and support IT applications.
The operator will deploy the MATRIXX Digital Commerce Platform, including its Cloud Native CCS, to replace the legacy charging and billing for consumer and enterprise services – mobile and fixed.
Mallik Rao, CTIO, Telefónica Germany/O2, commented, “The MATRIXX solution provides Telefónica Germany/O2 with a modern, configurable and cloud-native charging platform especially for our future 5G standalone network, which supports us to further improve customer experience, go-to-market faster and reduce our IT operating costs”.
MATRIXX was chosen because of its product-led approach which has features that can be tailored to help the operator design and launch new services more quickly.
The vendor also demonstrated what it says is “the most cutting-edge 5G-ready technology” .
