    TIM makes changes at the top, announces new CTIO

    The operator says the organisational changes are designed to focus technological and service innovation activities, and better monitor development of the network and IT.

    TIM has set up a Chief Innovation & Partnership Office, reporting directly to the CEO, which will be led by former the CTO, Elisabetta Romano. She will be responsible for TIM Group’s technological innovation, and for medium and long-term development strategy. Romano is also tasked with leveraging partnerships and alliances with major Italian and international players.

    Michele Gamberini is to lead the Chief Technology & Information Office, reporting directly to the CEO. He is responsible for the development of networks and IT, bringing together engineering processes , development and operation of technological infrastructures, platforms and IT applications.

    The Chief Wholesale Infrastructures Network & Systems Office, led by Stefano Siragusa, has been renamed the Chief Operations Office, bringing together operations in fixed and mobile access networks, service delivery and on-field network operation and maintenance, to facilitate a progressive recovery of operating efficiency.

    The Chief Regulatory Affairs & Wholesale Market is now under the direct supervision of Giovanni Moglia and is tasked with ensuring the continuity of the results achieved by TIM in the recent years through the implementation of the New Equivalence Model, in line with sustainable strategy and regulatory compliance.
