    Anite launches ‘SAS LTE’

    -

Anite, a global specialist in testing technology for the wireless industry, has launched ‘SAS LTE', said to be an easy-to-use network simulator solution that helps mobile device manufacturers and network operators identify and eliminate LTE interoperability issues quickly and cost-effectively.

‘SAS LTE' expands the technology support of Anite's 3GPP (GERAN/UTRAN) IOT (interoperability testing) solution, ‘SAS', which is currently used by all major device manufacturers and many Tier-1 mobile operators worldwide. ‘SAS LTE' enables comprehensive testing of LTE devices in a similar, controllable and repeatable manner, accelerating time-to-market and ensuring that new devices meet customer expectations, says Anite.

Interoperability testing is essential in verifying that new handsets and data cards deliver the anticipated mobile user experience. ‘SAS' is the trusted market solution that ensures new product introduction costs and subscriber churn are substantially reduced by improving device validation times and minimising device defects. Today, the largest number of tests for operator acceptance programmes are run on ‘SAS', manually or automatically. In addition, its intuitive graphical user interface makes ‘SAS' the only IOT solution that can be used without prior programming knowledge.

"As leaders in mobile device testing, Anite provides handset manufacturers and network operators with solutions that meet their LTE device testing needs", says Richard Jacklin, IOT Product Group Manager, Anite. "We have helped our customers to accelerate the market launch of new devices, and this is what we will continue to focus on. ‘SAS LTE' is invaluable in eliminating interoperability issues, dealing with the uncertainties of the new technology, and ultimately ensuring that the LTE user experience lives up to customer expectations."
