Orange replaces MasOrange with Orange Spain after takeover

-

Orange has dropped the MasOrange corporate brand and reverted to Orange Spain.

The rebrand follows the completion of Orange’s deal to take full control of the Spanish operator in June.

According to the telecoms giant, the move is aimed at simplifying its corporate identity and putting greater focus on the brand.

Orange added that the change does not affect its existing commercial brands or customer experience. Instead, Orange Spain will become the company’s corporate identity, bringing its Spanish operations under a single name following its integration into the wider Orange Group.

The company has been present in Spain for almost 20 years and describes Orange as the strongest and most recognised brand in its Spanish portfolio.

The company added the new identity combines its Spanish presence with the technology, investment capacity and international experience of the wider Orange Group.

It also revealed it wants the rebrand to reflect its evolution beyond traditional telecoms. Its focus includes AI, 5G, cybersecurity, cloud computing and other digital services, alongside continued investment in fibre and network infrastructure.

Orange Spain CEO, Meinrad Spenger, said: “Orange Spain is one of the most recognised brands in our country and clearly and simply explains the company we are today: the leading operator in the Spanish market in terms of number of customers and satisfaction, with a clear commitment to investment, innovation and the digital development of our country.”
