Iliad enters Italian 5G market with €9.99 per month offer

    -

The French company adopted the same strategy for 5G as in its domestic market – undercutting competitors at launch.

Iliad launched what it hopes will be a highly disruptive offer in France on 15 December, and Iliad Italia launched a 5G package on 22 December, called Flash 70, in Italy for under €10 for a limited period only.

The offer expires on 21 January. There is no information about what the tariff will be after this date.  The comparison table is provided by Iliad Italia.

The company operates under the Free brand in both markets, and has switched on 5G in 27 Italian cities, listed at the bottom of this article.

The offer package includes 70GB of combined 4G and 5G data, plus unlimited phone calls and text messages, which is 20GB more data than Iliad’s current Giga 50 deal at €2 extra.

Iliad has shared this comparison on its website:

Iliad’s 5G has gone live in these Italian cities so far: Alessandria, Bari, Bologna, Brescia, Cagliari, Como, Ferrara, Florence, Genoa, La Spezia, Latina, Messina, Milan, Modena, Padua, Perugia, Pesaro, Pescara, Piacenza, Prato, Ravenna, Reggio Calabria, Reggio Emilia, Rome, Turin, Verona and Vicenza.
