    Payforit 3 improves charity donations

    -

Payforit 3 is the latest update to Payforit’s mobile purchasing service which, supported by all the UK mobile operators, allows any UK handset to make a mobile purchase – or in this case a donation. Using Payforit 3 the cost of the transaction is billed directly to the user’s mobile bill or reduced from the existing credit. For charities this means no need for dedicated shortcodes or shared keyword costs and if they set up with ImpulsePay there are no monthly or set up fees and sign up can be done instantly, with just one line of code.

For registered and unregistered charities of all sizes, the new Payforit 3, which is  implemented using ImpulsePay, can help them to reduce the costs for establishing a mobile donation system. The service is also VAT exempt on the Orange, Three, Vodafone & T-Mobile networks, further increasing the amount of the donation that is received by the charity.

Payforit 3 can also work for vendors that are looking to provide a mobile purchasing option for customers. Just like for charities, using Payforit 3 from ImpulsePay is simple to set up and use. Both donation and sales rates are much higher using a mobile purchasing solution as there are still many people without a credit card.

However, Payforit 3 comes out on top compared to other forms of SMS Billing as not only is the donation amount or price clear throughout the entire process, but a thank you page can be inserted into the flow. For charities this means that they can clearly thank donators, including potentially inserting a short video clip on their site about how the money will be used. While for users accessing the website on a mobile handset, the donation process can be completed with just one click.

“The UK has a very strong tradition of charity giving and now Payforit 3 makes it even easier,” said Chris Newell, CEO of ImpulsePay. “The combination of ImpulsePay and Payforit 3 makes the whole process quick, simple and very cost-effective for charities. The process is comparable to credit card donations, but is more inclusive as just about everyone has a mobile phone.”
