“In May 2020, the first 5G Plus network in Poland on the 2600 MHz TDD frequency was launched in 7 cities with 100 transmitters. It allows you to achieve internet speed up to 600 Mb / s. Several months of observations of network user experiences and the best results obtained in 5G network speed tests compared to other operators resulted in the decision to expand the network coverage. More than 150 cities will be added to the list of 7 current 5G cities, thanks to which over 11 million people will be able to use the fastest 5G in Poland, ”the telecom said today.

This means that the current list of cities from 5G Plus, i.e. Warsaw, Łódź, Gdańsk, Katowice, Poznań, Szczecin and Wrocław, will be joined by, inter alia, residents of the Silesian agglomeration, Tricity, Kraków, Bydgoszcz, Częstochowa, Olsztyn, Kielce, Radom, Toruń, Zielona Mountains, Opole, Gorzów Wielkopolski and many others – announces the operator.

The above plans concern the development of the 5G network in the 2600 MHz TDD band. The company announces the inclusion of the new technology in other bands as well.
