Vantage Towers strikes Liga Portugal deal to improve stadium connectivity

Vantage Towers has partnered with Liga Portugal to help improve connectivity across professional football.

As a result of the partnership, the towerco is giving clubs access to specialist expertise to modernise stadiums, training centres and academies.

The clubs will also be able to benefit from Vantage Towers’ experience in designing and delivering shared connectivity infrastructure, as well as better connectivity, which will will help support the increasing use of digital services at football venues, from 5G and live streaming to digital ticketing and fan apps.

The move aims to meet growing demand, support the ongoing development of club facilities and create a smoother experience for supporters on match days.

“Connectivity infrastructure is playing an increasingly important role in the operation and development of sports venues,” Vantage Towers Portugal, Managing Director, Paolo Favaro, said (in a translated post).

“Through this partnership, we want to put Vantage Towers’ expertise at the service of Sporting Companies, creating the conditions for mobile operators and other service providers to deliver high-quality connectivity and digital services to end users.”
