The Wi-Fi 7 device can be set up, configured and controlled by smartphone – different Wi-Fi networks can be set up and usage monitored within the household
Vodafone is launching its own router for fibre connections for the first time in the German market. It combines WiFi-7 technology with intelligent software features for “a powerful, stable and easy-to-control home network”. The Ultra Hub 7 unit is available now for a monthly rental fee of €4.99 or to buy for €129.90 in all Vodafone distribution channels.
The Ultra Hub 7 is the first router developed by Vodafone for use on fibre connections. It was designed to optimise high bandwidths and low latency of modern fibre networks for home Wi-Fi. This latest generation of industry standard Wi-Fi technology is designed for higher speed, lower latencies and more stable connection – even with many simultaneously connected devices in a single household.

The UltraConnect app can control the entire Ultra Hub 7 series, through set up and configuration, and to monitor their router via smartphone. Among other things, a main, a secondary and a guest Wi-Fi connection can be set up: all devices enrolled in the WLAN can be displayed and usage times can be defined. Connected devices can be blocked if necessary. In case of problems with the router or the WLAN reception, the app offers helpful support and diagnostic functions.
Like its sister model , the Ultra Hub 7 for fibre was awarded the Green Product Mark by TÜV Rheinland. Vdoafone says additional devices are not required for customers who use Deutsche Telekom’s fiber networks, as a fibre modem is already integrated directly in the router.
