Zain Jordan and Ericsson have expanded thier partnership to modernise Zain Jordan’s Business Support Systems (BSS).
As a result, the project will support Zain’s digital transformation, prepare its IT systems for 5G and improve the way digital services are delivered to customers across Jordan.
The new phase expands the partnership to include Zain’s postpaid business, allowing the company to create new services and revenue opportunities across both prepaid and postpaid segments.
The project will upgrade Zain Jordan’s BSS architecture and make its systems more flexible and efficient, the company revealed.
As part of the upgrade, Ericsson Billing will be moved to Red Hat OpenShift in Zain Jordan’s private cloud, the telecom giant will also deploy its Telco DataOps Platform to provide real-time data insights.
For its postpaid business, Zain will also introduce catalog and order management.
