According to the mobile operator, owning 100% of the business will allow it to move more quickly with its £11 billion network investment plan, including £700 million in annual cost and capital expenditure savings by FY30.

Commenting on the deal, Margherita Della Valle, Chief Executive Officer of Vodafone Group, said: “With full ownership and control, we’ll have the ability to move faster in the next phase of building one of Europe’s leading networks.

“This best-in-class infrastructure will deliver better connectivity for our customers up and down the country, help drive the UK’s digital economy, and deliver long-term value for our shareholders.”

The news comes as the telecom giant confirmed 1,200 job cuts across Europe as part of a major cost-cutting plan designed to save millions.

It revealed revealed the reduction in employees came as it worked to make the business more efficient, with cuts affecting teams across Europe and shared operations during the three months ended June 2026.
