Hayo launches services in Rwanda for operators, enterprise and government

-

The country has been one of the fastest adopters of digital services over the last decade

Hayo, the network tech and digital solutions provider, has launched voice, messaging and digital solutions in Rwanda. Local service providers, enterprises and government entities can access its services, for example, rolling out National Mobile Registry (NMR), IoT and eSIM platforms, plus messaging and international voice.

The number of internet users in Rwanda has more than tripled over the last decade. In 2023, 34.2% of the population regularly used the internet compared to 8% in 2012, according to the WTO and World Bank.

Hayo aims to accelerate the country’s adoption of digital services with tailored, industry-specific solutions across mobile, GovTech, IoT, cloud and more. It will onboard local staff and collaborate with local service providers and businesses.

Hayo operates in more than 30 countries, serving more than 100 mobile operators and a global ecosystem of more than 500 partners. The move into Rwanda is part of its continued business expansion across Africa, including Senegal in Q1 2026, as well as Botswana, Liberia and Malawi in 2025.

“Rwanda has rapidly emerged as a leader for tech innovation in the region, and we see massive potential to support the growth of its digital economy with the right technology and expertise,” said Feraz Ahmed, CEO at Hayo. “

Boaz Yaya, Director of Operator Relations at Hayo, added, “We are here to listen, adapt and deploy solutions that align with Rwanda’s vision for a connected future. This proximity allows us to better understand local challenges and deliver the specific digital tools the market needs to thrive.”

Hayo recently launched an eSIM platform, which offers white-label capabilities for mobile operators to increase roaming revenue, rapidly deliver services and improve operational efficiency. The company enhanced its NMR platform in Q1 2026, adding fraud and mobile theft protection to its capabilities which are designed to help governments regulate imports, protect citizens and increase public revenue.
