    Mahindra Comviva launches digital wallet

Mahinda Comviva has announced that it has built an NFC, QR code and Bluetooth Low Energy enabled digital wallet aimed at telcos, banks and retailers.

The tech company said its mobiquity Wallet will work across a range of connected devices. It can be personalised, include value-added services and payment methods to help encourage consumers to use it to make purchases.

The India-based vendor said the platform was “robust and flexible” and also offers location based promotions, automatic coupon redemption and loyalty card selection while the consumer is at the checkout.

Consumers can make payments by using a single click, while businesses can integrate the platform into existing apps or web portals, or allow in-app purchases by integrating into the merchant’s enterprise resource planning.

The product can also help businesses to use social media and data analytics to follow the consumer’s path from discovery through to payments, according to Mahinda Comviva.

Srinivas Nidugondi, Senior VP & Head of Mobile Financial Solutions at Mahindra Comviva said: “Consumer needs are constantly evolving and we are proud to launch a digital wallet solution that focuses on consumer experience and purchase journey for payments. mobiquity Wallet aims to deliver a connected experience to the consumers and is designed to support a large and complex ecosystem.”

Juniper has predicted that through retailers using mobile to help discovery, marketing and purchasing of products, $700bn worth of goods will be purchased annually by 2018.
