CTO at Telenet promoted to network strategist at Liberty Global

From 1 March 2026, Luk Bruynseels will be MD Networks & Capital Allocation at Telenet group’s parent company, Liberty Global – a key role in shaping network strategy

Telenet group announced that its CTO, Luk Bruynseels (pictured) will move to the group’s parent company, Liberty Global, from 1 March next year to become Managing Director Networks & Capital Allocation. Bruynseels will be responsible for fixed and mobile networks, and relevant capital allocations. He will play a key role in shaping Liberty Global’s network strategy. 

During his 16 years at Telenet group, Bruynseels held various managerial positions within engineering and technology. His achievements include the successful integration of the BASE mobile network, large-scale network upgrades and the implementation of an agile working model. As CTO, he maintained a focus on optimal customer experience and long-term value creation. 

According to the press release, this move illustrates the close cooperation between Telenet group and Liberty Global, and highlights opportunities for internal growth within the Liberty group.
