BICS puts stamp on global parcel tracking service

    -

Wholesale carrier provider BICS has partnered with IoT services company Hanhaa to provide connectivity for its new parcel tracking service.

ParceLive will track a package’s location, condition and security. BICS said the partnership, which involves its global data, SMS and roaming services, would increase the performance of deliveries worldwide.

By teaming up with BICS, ParceLive deliveries will feature an embedded SIM and will be able to be tracked by users regardless of the country they are in or the carrier it is connected to.

ParceLive trackers feature multiple sensors tracking the likes of moisture and impact, as well as a GPS. Once a parcel is delivered, users then send the trackers back for recalibration and reuse.

Mikaël Schachne, VP Mobility Solution at BICS, said: “In our increasingly connected world, communication is key, which makes seamless connectivity paramount.

“We are confident that our data services and cross-border functionality will ensure that Hanhaa’s global parcel tracking solution works flawlessly.”

Christopher Riley, Marketing Coordinator at Hanhaa, said: “Our ambition for ParceLive has always been to provide the most detailed, current and useful information across the globe. With the help of BICS, that ambition becomes a reality as it ensures that the ParceLive trackers are well connected wherever they go, whatever happens to them.”
