    SwissQual announces QualiPoc iQ

    -

SwissQual, the independent Swiss network quality measurement company, has announced a new handheld RF monitoring application based upon the Apple iPhone.

The QualiPoc iQ is said to offer RF monitoring functions such as idle testing of signal levels and Rx Qual together with FTP downlink and uplink tests. The large, bright, screen of the Apple iPhone, together with touch screen functionality, allows the native QualiPoc iQ application to offer a wide range of graphical reports, while users can navigate between dedicated views and charts, using iPhone  functions such as "screen flip" and zoom.

Says David Gonzalez, SwissQual QualiPoc iQ Product Manager: "The iPhone has become very popular around the world and has, in particular, helped to invigorate the use of mobile Internet. In some markets the iPhone "effect" has been credited with generating more than two thirds of the mobile Internet traffic. Although this is still a small percentage of the overall Internet traffic at around 0.75%, it is rising fast. To sustain this growth it is vitally important that the customer experience is as good as possible. It is therefore vitally important for operators to be able to test their network using an iPhone."

Says Salvatore Piazzolla, Head of SwissQual Product Management: "The QualiPoc iQ is an ideal addition to every RF engineer's toolkit. It gives him a quick and clear way to monitor and troubleshoot RF issues. With competitive pricing we aim to make it a default part of every radio engineer's tool kit."

QualiPoc iQ is the latest addition to SwissQual's QualiPoc range which includes handheld test solutions based on Symbian handsets together with fixed network quality monitoring units and vehicle based multi channel systems.
